A work about loss. Created in 2011, in the period when kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit was still held in Gaza with, what seemed like at the time, hopeless chances to be released. The work looks at the impossible situation of his parents were living, knowing he was trapped, versus the endless amount of places where he could be found, similar to “looking for a needle in a haystack”. Although it was a very private story of the Shalit family, for a few years, millions of Israelis felt on national and personal level, the hardship of their story, which could easily be anyone’s story.
